Hello,

A new result (kit# 167022) from Germany showed up on the R2-M124-WTY project. It is only 2 genetic distance away from a previous result (kit #N45588) from the same country.

Both results include a rare DYS value 393=12.

The haplogroup for Kit# 167022 has not been confirmed or predicted by FTDNA. But I expect it to be R2. The rest of the 67 markers for this kit is on the way.

I guess we have a potential Germany R2 Cluster with a rare 393=12.

Bellow are the DYS values of the first 12 markers of the two R2 persons from Germany:

Hello,

I am new to the Forum and also new to DNA Research ...
Kit#167022 belongs to me, and I am very astonished at the result. I don't understand why FTDNA has not confirmed my haplogroup as R2, maybe I have to wait for the rest of the 67 markers.
My paternal line lives for more than 250 years in Germany, always in the same region

The rest of the markers are expected for 04.07.2010 (Y-DNA 48-67)
and for 04.09.2010 (Y-DNA13-37). Batch 347
Seven months seems to be a long time ...

My Y-search ID is: NKAY4

Welcome to the forum....
Sometimes FTDNA can't predict the Haplogroup of certain Haplotypes... In this case FTDNA offers a free back bone test to determine your haplogroup.. That takes few weeks...

I think 04.09.2010 is the 9th of April 2010 not the 4th of September Smiley

There is another guy with 393=12 (Unpredicted/Unconfirmed Haplogroup) in which he might also belong Haplogroup R2. His kit# is N48293.

Let's check later if he will be predicted or confirmed as Haplogroup R2.

This 393=12 DYS mutation might be German!
