I'm wondering whether there are any plans to "spruce up" the forum's appearance. The current skin does seem quite standard, and I was curious whether anyone else had similar thoughts about the above?

Perhaps some sort of a banner; although it'd be hard, especially when the forum's focus is on something as arbitrary as yDNA haplogroups...

Thanks for the suggestion:

I also got used to this "standard" theme  Grin

In the link bellow are some free themes I can use for this forum:
http://custom.simplemachines.org/themes

You can suggest one of them... But be sure it is compatible with the latest version of SMF (SMF 1.1.10)

More specifically follow this link for SMF 1.1.10 compatible themes:
http://custom.simplemachines.org/themes/index.php?action=search;version[]=49

then we can vote Smiley

I think that one looks pretty suave; it isn't "themed" in any particular style, which suits the site's purpose too. Any thoughts/opinions? Smiley

Perhaps it is too dark, I agree... Do you see any skins on the site that are more appealing?

This one doesn't work with the version of our forum which is "SMF 1.1.10"

The theme above works on older SMF forums (version 1.1.5)

try again Tongue
